Your chapter should be between 1,500 and 3,000 words. That gives you enough space to tell a meaningful story while keeping the book cohesive and readable alongside the other contributors.

No. The full program is there for authors who want the deeper strategy, positioning, visibility, and post-launch opportunities. If you want the fastest route, use The AMA Author Speed Run™ and Sage, Your AMA Author Assistant™ to move through the essential author deliverables quickly.

You can go as deep as you want. Some authors will move through the Speed Run and complete the essentials quickly, while others will spend more time using the full AMA Author Advantage™ to strengthen their positioning, launch strategy, and post-book opportunities.

You are responsible for writing and submitting your chapter, but you won’t be left staring at a blank page. The AMA Author Advantage™, our story frameworks, prompts, and Sage will help you identify, structure, write, and polish your story before submission.

Yes. AI can be a powerful tool for brainstorming, organizing, refining, and strengthening your writing. We’ll even give you tools and prompts to help.

But the story, experiences, perspective, and voice should remain yours. The goal isn’t to have AI invent your story. It’s to help you tell your real story more clearly.

Once your completed chapter and required author assets are submitted, AMA takes them into the publishing production process. Your contribution is prepared for inclusion in the final book alongside the other selected authors, and we’ll guide you through the remaining launch and author-positioning steps as the book moves toward publication.

We begin the publishing process once the book reaches a minimum of 20 authors.

One of the advantages of a multi-author project is that every contributor brings their own audience and network to the launch, which gives the book a stronger opportunity to perform well on Amazon.

Our goal is to fill each book within 90 days or less. Once the minimum number of authors is confirmed, we’ll communicate the production and launch timeline with the participating authors.

No. No legitimate publisher can guarantee a bestseller ranking because rankings are controlled by third-party platforms and depend on variables outside our control.

AMA has produced more than 50 international bestselling projects and has extensive experience coordinating bestseller campaigns, but past results do not guarantee a specific ranking for any future book.

This is where the new AMA experience is very different. We don’t want your journey to end when the bestseller campaign ends.

Inside The AMA Author Advantage™, you’ll learn how to use your published book to build authority, create visibility, start conversations, deepen relationships, pursue media and speaking opportunities, and connect the book to the work you already do.

Your chapter itself should serve the story rather than read like an advertisement. But your author bio includes a call to action, giving interested readers a clear next step to learn more about you, your work, or your business.

Physical author copies are not automatically included unless specifically stated in the offer.

Once the book is published, authors will be able to purchase copies at author pricing through the available ordering options.

In many past projects, we’ve also provided participating authors with the full book manuscript so they could arrange to print their own copies through a local printer if they wanted additional books outside of the standard ordering options.

Any reproduction or printing of the complete book should follow the permissions and terms provided by AMA for that specific project.

AMA Publishing receives the royalties from book sales.

We intentionally price our multi-author books to sell and keep the retail price as accessible as possible after launch. Amazon retains a significant portion of each sale, which means the remaining royalty on an individual book is relatively small.

With 20+ contributing authors, dividing those remaining amounts would often mean distributing only cents per sale among a large group of people. Instead, AMA retains the book royalties and handles the ongoing publishing, distribution, and management of the title.

The value of participating in an AMA multi-author book is not based on receiving royalties from individual book sales. It is the published-author credential, authority, visibility, relationships, launch experience, and opportunities you can create because you are in the book.

AMA Publishing owns the copyright to the published book as a whole, while you retain the copyright to your individual chapter.

That means your story remains yours. AMA has the right to publish your chapter as part of the collective book, but you continue to own the copyright to the chapter you contributed.

VIP is for authors who want greater prominence and visibility around the project. The upgrade includes your name featured on the front cover, priority chapter placement, AMA VIP Author designation, featured AMA Author Directory placement, and an AMA VIP Author Spotlight interview and distribution.
